Etonic Launches New High Performance Footwear for Spring 2006
The Running and Walking Footwear Line Features New Technology in Stability, Cushioning and Fit

1, 2005, Waltham, MA………..Etonic will hit the pavement this spring with
a new line of technical running and performance walking shoes. The new
line features the latest technology in stability cushioning, motion
control and comfort construction.

have focused our efforts on enhancing an athlete’s performance, taking
Etonic heritage technologies to a new level to meet the individual
needs of both walkers and runners,” stated Gary Siriano, General
Manager Etonic. “All our high performance shoes will feature the
patented Dynamic Reaction Plate (3DRP) which helps keep the foot on a
neutral plane as it transitions from heel to toe. We are introducing
the industry’s first motion control running shoe with “OrthoticReady™”
construction, a unique technology that will carry through all walking
product as well. Retailers that have previewed the line are
enthusiastic about the product and welcome the Etonic brand back to the
technical arena.”
RUNNING: Jepara SC and Minado MC
The
Jepara SC is Etonic’s new entry into the Stability Cushioning category.
Designed for the mid to high mileage runner, the Jepara SC is a
technical running shoe that offers several stability and cushioning
features to give runners the ultimate performance and fit. A
3-Dimensional Dynamic Reaction Plate (3DRP®) is a TPU stability shank
midsole design used to help keep the foot on a neutral plane as it
transitions from the heel to toe. A dual-density EVA Post works in
conjunction with the 3DPR for exceptional medial support. The Resilient
Cushioning System (RCS)™ takes the “rebound effect” to a new level. The
system is designed with proprietary TPR compound for superior
cushioning and energy return. The Jepara SC outsole also features
high-grade rubber in the heel for enhanced durability, blown rubber and
anatomically placed flex grooves in the forefoot for a superior ride.
The integrated upper technology features a combination of air mesh,
microfibers and soft abrasion-resistant lining for lightweight support
and breathability. The Jepara SC will be available in men’s: sizes 8 –
14, width D and 2E and Women’s: sizes 6 – 12, width B and D for a
suggested retail of $90.00 beginning February 2006.
The
Minado MC has a unique blend of running features that provide
exceptional Motion Control, an area of strength for the Etonic brand
over its 30-year history. The three level stability system combines a
patented 3DRP® midsole design featuring a medial TPU plate, fiber glass
heel plate working in conjunction with a dual density EVA Post that
keeps the foot on a neutral plane as it transitions from heel to toe.
The midsole also features Schocksorb™ Cushioning in the heel and
forefront for added comfort. The Minado MC is the first motion control
shoe with “OrthoticReady™” construction. Runners can simply remove the
3mm insert under the footbed and slip in their orthotics. The upper
combines air mesh, microfibers and soft abrasion-resistant linings for
lightweight support and breathability. The Minado MC is available in
three styles for men with size range from 8 – 15 and width D, 2E, and
4E. It is offered in two styles for women with a size range 6 –13 and
width B,D, 2E. The Minado MC will be available February 2006 and will
retail for $90.00.
WALKING: Pro Support
The
smart choice for walkers looking for maximum support from a shoe is the
new Motion Control Pro Support. Designed with a soft breathable leather
upper, the Pro Support features a three level stability system called
3DRP® (3-Dimensional Dynamic Reaction Plate). The injection TPU
provides exceptional medial and lateral stability along with the
integrated fiberglass plate in the shank as the foot transitions from
heel to toe. The higher density EVA post provides additional medial
midsole support. The midsole also features the patent pending RCS™
(Resilient Cushion System) that provides superior cushioning and energy
return. Removable Accumed™ sockliners have been added to keep the feet
dry and reduce odor. The Pro Support features a double depth “Orthotic
Ready™” construction that allows walkers to create a custom fit by
removing the EVA foam insert along with the sockliner to insert
orthotics. Pro Support is available in four styles for men with size
range 7 – 16 and width D, 2E, 4E, 6E and four styles for women with
size range 5 – 13 and width B, D, 2E, 4E. The suggested retail is
$85.00 and will be available in February 2006.
The
2006 high performance running and walking footwear line is Etonic’s
first entry into the market since ending its licensing agreement
earlier this year and taking the division back in-house. “We are now
able to tap into the resources from our successful golf and bowling
divisions to build high performance running and walking shoes,” added
Siriano.
